In a kingdom led by Prabu Pakuan, West Java, lived two childhood friends: Anteh and Princess Endahwarni. Anteh liked to weave fabric and promised to make a wedding dress for Endahwarni once she gets married.
There came a handsome prince who wanted to marry the princess, but all he had was lust for beauty. He went and chased the beautiful Anteh until she was cornered in the middle of the night. Then the moon began to shine brightly and came a strong wind, flying Anteh and her woven dress to the moon. Since then, Anteh has disappeared from the kingdom.

Background assets
Our team retold the Sundanese folklore of Nini Anteh. In this project, I co-wrote the script, illustrated concept art an backgrounds, and assisted with storyboarding. We explored archives of Sundanese traditions—examining traditional attire, batik motifs, architecture, and local crafts. Ultimately, we referenced Wayang for our character designs, and selected Batik Lereng Eneng, Batik Semen, and Batik Priyangan for the main character’s cloth patterns.
In production, I illustrated the backgrounds for the latter half of the story, focusing on the forest and moon scenes. One key panning shot depicts Nini Anteh running from the prince through dense trees, only to be cornered against a cliff with nowhere to run but toward the moon.
